Let's face it. Wireless is a hot topic and wireless Profibus is a super hot topic in the world of industrial automation, especially in Europe where Profibus is the protocol of choice. Just think. If you can connect Profibus to more platforms than ever before, and do so wirelessly, then you have a marketing edge in today's wireless world.

I've been getting emails from various folks around the globe on Profibus wireless. Sure, ProSoft Technology has solutions. But then, so do folks like Dataeagle who has Profisafe. Just what makes Profisafe good?. I sent Thomas Schildknecht an email today asking him just that question and more... Why? Because we all want to know and I don't read German.

I like the name, Profisafe. It goes with the idea of a secure wireless world, where protocols can't get hijacked, or where at least the risk thereof is lessened...
